About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & Metrowest

Our professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships support the social and emotional development needed for the youth we serve to build resilience, mental health, and well-being. These relationships will enrich the lives of youth in our communities and build brighter futures.

Founded in 1963, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass & Metrowest has supported children in our community through individualized mentoring programs for 60 years.

Who We Work With

Littles

We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children facing adversity through professionally supported, one-on-one mentoring relationships. We carefully match children with the right mentor who is dedicated to seeing them succeed in all that they do.

Bigs

Matching children with caring, supportive mentors changes lives. It changes the life of the Little and oftentimes, it changes the life of the Big as well. We need the help of people like you - generous, caring people who want to do some good in our corner of the world.

Donors

Your generous contribution will help provide at-risk children the support they need to make positive changes in their lives and begin to realize their full potential. Not to mention, it makes you a part of something big!  We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization so donations are tax deductible.

Testimonials

Being a Big has helped me be able to call Holy Cross home. I’ve been with Jaxsen for 4 years and he really is like my little brother. He and his family have helped me feel comfortable in the Worcester area and I can depend on them just as much as Jaxsen can count on me. It’s been a rewarding experience!

Big, Chris

In the three years that I have been matched with Destiny, we have both grown and changed in many ways thanks to our shared friendship. Spending time talking to her always reminds me how important it is to slow down, to be intentional about making time for fun, and how much laughter can help me when I am feeling low. One of my favorite memories with Destiny is when we visited the Museum of Science in Boston, and she encouraged me to skip around the museum all day long rather than walk—I couldn’t help but follow her lead.

Big, Emma

“I am so grateful to have Josiah matched with his Big, Cam. Josiah is one of three. I can see how much he has improved in school and relating to me and his brothers. He is always excited to spend time with Cam and I appreciate how much Cam has cared for their friendship.”

Alicia, Parent

I’ve been a “Big” for nearly two years now with BBBSCM.  Our Match Support Specialist did a fabulous job of making a great match.  The team is a great support and has group events and ideas of activities.  I’m so pleased to be a part of such a great group!

Big, Karen

The organization’s purpose is obviously noble and has been a pleasure to be a small part of it.  They do a really good job in setting matches up and then providing support and regular feedback along the way.  The experience has been very fulfilling and I really appreciate everything BBBS of Central Mass & Metrowest does for me, my little Brother, and the community we all serve!

Big, Matt
