Big Brothers Big Sisters, Central MA\MetroWest is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Samantha Mathews as Director of Community Support Programs and Ms. Alicia Lewis as a Community Interview Support Match Specialist
Ms. Samantha Mathews graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from West Virginia University in 2008. She has risen rapidly through the Justice Resource Institute (JRI) system of residential care for individuals with development delays and trauma. In 2010, she started her career at JRI as a residential counselor but quickly moved up to an assistant supervisor position at the Susan Wayne Center for Excellence in 2011. Finally, Ms. Mathews was appointed to the position of Assistant Program Manager for group homes at JRI CT. in 2013. While at JRI she received a certificate of completion for Trauma Studies through the JRI Trauma Center.
Her new position at Big Brothers Big Sisters, Central MA\MetroWest will include assisting in the development of our agency by serving on the Leadership Team, and managing the community matches for 175 children facing adversity in professionally supported one-to-one adult\child relationships that will change their lives for the better, forever.

Ms. Alicia Lewis graduated from Westfield State University with a B.A. in Law in 2015. After graduating, Ms. Lewis began her career as a Teaching Fellow at the Citizen Schools of Roxbury. In this role she counseled students with mental health needs and guided 8th graders through the transition to high school. In 2017, she was appointed to the position of Intensive Care Coordinator at Children’s Services of Roxbury where she worked closely with MassHealth to complete comprehensive home-based assessments, and guided families through the network of behavioral health services.
In her new position, she will be responsible for supporting 75 matches of “Bigs” with their “Littles”.
